NIC welcomes both Iraqi and foreign investors, and is pleased to inform you that NIC’s main duty is to promote investment opportunities and grant licenses to investment projects of federal or strategic nature in Iraq after fulfilling all conditions and regulations stated in the amended investment law numbered 13 for the year 2006.

NIC shall render all the necessary assistance to investors in order to facilitate and accelerate the procedure of granting the investment license.
This application represents the first step for all investors towards obtaining the investment license; the investor is required to fill this application form as well as fulfilling other requirements provided by the concerned officer in OSS Department at NIC.

National Investment Commission :
The National Investment Commission (NIC) was established in accordance with Investment Law No. 13 of 2006. It shall be responsible of drawing up national policies of investment in Iraq and laying out its regulations as well as monitoring the implementation of these regulations. NIC is the authority that is responsible of issuing projects investment licenses

** All sections in this form should be filled. Write N/A if the section is not applicable to your business. Do not leave any blank ** After filling this application, kindly sign it and send it by mail, or deliver it by hand to NIC offices in the Green Zone, Freedom Tower, next to Ibn Sina Hospital, One Stop Shop Department, and send one copy of the application to oss AT investpromo.gov.iq.
** NIC shall send you a notification within 48 hours to confirm the receipt of your application.
** This application can be filled in Arabic or English language.
** If the Investor is a Natural Person, he is only required to complete the sections pertaining to the Natural Person, and write N/A in the fields that are not applicable. The same shall apply if the applicant was a legal entity.
