Payment of Pension Fund (Death)- Monthly Payment
Pension funds may be paid out in full or in part in the case of permanent/ partial disabilities, death and retirement

Citizens

Steps to follow to request the service:
A- Process steps:
Injuries must be reported and recorded to Royal Oman Police and PASI either by the employer, employee or the employee relatives by submission of Injury/ Death Reporting Form at PASI regional or main office or fill the Intimation Form using PASI Website
The lost/deceased’s relatives or employer must complete and submit Employee End of Services Form at PASI head office or any branches of PASI.
Both grants (funeral expenses grant and death grant) cheque will be issued within three days.

Deceased relative submits Decease’s Pension Payment Request Form at any PASI counter with:
Death or Lost Certificate, Obtained from Royal Oman Police.
Authority to Act in Behalf of the Family – obtained from Ministry of Justice.
Heritages must be identified and declared by the Primary Court of Law. (If required).

PASI calculates payment for each beneficiary (according to formula defined at law) and PASI Pension Department notifies family of pay-out. Money is transferred directly to the assigned bank account.

B- Procedures and forms required for requesting the service:

Heritages must be identified and declared by the Primary Court of Law. (If required).

Special conditions if any applicable:
Contributions period reaches 6 consecutive months at least immediately before the occurrence of death.
If the death did not take place after meeting the minimum limit of the contribution periods referred to under aforesaid clause (A) and any of the two insured discontinues contribution for any reason, his beneficiaries, as the case may be, are entitled to pension if the death takes place within one year from the contribution discontinuation date regardless the age, unless any of them meets the conditions for the entitlement to the pension stated provided for in the aforesaid old age pension, and if the said pension is better

About Us :
The Social Insurance Law and its amendments promulgated by the Royal Decree No.72/91 came into force with effect from July 1, 1992. One of its articles stipulated that a public authority shall be formed under the name of “Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI)” enjoying administrative and financial independence, to be responsible for the implementation of this Law.
