Replace ID card :

Customers may apply to change the personal photo printed on the renewed ID or amending any of his/her data on the ID or replace the ID if it is lost or damaged.

Service Scope:
** Changing photo
** Changing any of the data printed on ID e.g (photo, name or nationality).
** replacing broken or lost ID.

Service Eligibility:
All UAE nationals, GCC nationals, expats and residents hold UAE IDs.

Service Policies:
** If the customer’s lost or stolen ID is found, EIDA’s customer service agent will contact the customer via telephone without any fees required.
** If the customer wishes to change the personal data or photo printed on the ID the way he/she prefers, he/she will pay fees for replacement.
** In case of lost, damaged or stolen IDs, customers will pay fees for replacement.
** If the customer receives ID including wrong personal data which is inconsistent with supporting documents, he/she may go to the nearest service center for free replacement.

Service Fees:
** AED 150 for application to service centers for all residents in UAE including UAE nationals, GCC nationals and expatriates, in case of ID availability and the desire to change personal data or photo printed on the ID. Application fees (AED 70 is collected in case of submitting the application through printing offices or AED 40 in case of submitting e-applications through EIDA website) will be added.
** AED 300 in case of losing or damaging ID for all residents in UAE including UAE nationals, GCC nationals and expatriates. Application fees (AED 70 is collected in case of submitting the application through printing offices or AED 40 in case of submitting e-applications through EIDA website) will be added.
** AED 150 express service fees in main service centers for all residents in UAE including UAE nationals, GCC nationals and expatriates.
** The customer will not pay any fees in case of receiving IDs including wrong personal data which is inconsistent with supporting documents.

Prerequisites:

UAE National who obtains social welfare (over the age of 15 years):
** Original passport (or a facsimile)
** Original family book (or a facsimile)
** The expired ID, and in case it is not available, the issuance of ID number confirmation from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.

UAE national who obtains social welfare (under the age of 15):
** Original passport
** Original family book
** Personal photo with the size (3.5 ? 4.5) with a white background
** The expired ID, and in case it is not available, the issuance of ID number confirmation from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.
** Original birth certificate

UAE national who does not obtain social welfare (above the age of 15):
** Original passport (or a facsimile)
** Original family book (or a facsimile)
** The expired ID, and in case it is not available, the issuance of ID number confirmation from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.

National who does not obtain social welfare (under the age of 15):
** Original passport (or a facsimile)
** Original family book (or a facsimile)
** Personal photo with the size (3.5 ? 4.5) with a white background
** The expired ID, and in case it is not available, the issuance of ID number confirmation from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.

GCC national (above the age of 15):
** The original passport
** Proprietary or lease contract certified from the municipality or the contracts competent entity. No national shall be registered with uncertified lease contract.
** If a person works for a governmental entity he should present a work certificate issued from the entity he works for, and if he/she works in the private sector the work contract or work ID should be presented and it should be certified from the Labour Ministry. The private company work certificate shall not be enough if it is not certified.
** If a person is studying in the country, he/she should present a study certificate from any of the registered universities in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Certificates from unregistered universities shall not be accepted
** A certificate of having an effective commercial license in the country
** Marriage continuity contract from a national
** The expired ID, and in case it is not available, the issuance of ID number confirmation from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.

GCC National (under the age of 15):
** The original passport
** Official transcript of the unified number from the General directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs
** The expired ID, and in case it is not available, the issuance of ID number confirmation from any of the principal ID registration
** Personal photo (3.5×4.5 cm) with a white background

Resident (above the age of 15):
** Original valid passport
** Residency card or entry visa
** The ID that needs to be replaced. In case it is not available, the issuance of (ID number confirmation) from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.

Resident (under the age of 15):
** Original valid passport
** Residency card or entry visa
** The ID that needs to be replaced. In case it is not available, the issuance of (ID number confirmation) from any of the principal ID registration centers or a copy of the expired ID.
** Original birth certificate, or (original passport, or father’s ID)
** Personal photo (3.5×4.5 cm) with a white background

Service level agreement:
** ID shall be issued within 48 hours from the time of submitting the replacement application
** ID shall be delivered to those who apply for the Express service within 24 hours from the time the replacement application is submitted.

Service shall be available during the normal working hours through the service center
