Renewal Policy

This policy sets out how to apply to renew a full, limited or provisional New Zealand immigration adviser licence, including one granted under the TTMRA.

Maintaining A Current Licence

It is the responsibility of licensed immigration advisers (advisers) to make sure that their licence is valid. The Registrar of Immigration Advisers (the Registrar) has no discretion to accept renewal applications received after the expiry of an adviser’s current licence. A licence renewal application must be submitted on or before the date on which the licence expires.

If any adviser fails to maintain a current licence, the Registrar will record the expiry of the licence on the public register of immigration advisers (the register) and the adviser will no longer be able to give immigration advice.
