To know CME Application Status, Kindly follow the steps mentioned below.

Checklist of documents for registration with the Council :
For full/temporary registration :
** Application Form (Duly Filled) along with signed declaration of the Code of Medical Ethics attached with the application form.

** A copy of qualification to be registered (degree/diploma/certificate) along with original copy.
** Copies of transcripts/mark sheets of class 10, 12 and other qualification along wit original.

** Two copies of recent passport size photograph.
** A copy of CID / Passport for foreigners.
** Registration fee (refer the table)

Note for foreigners : Attach copy of practice license/ certificate of good-standing

For Renewal :
** Renewal form duly filled.
** CME credit book (30 CME credits required)
** One latest passport size photograph
** Citizenship ID card (New)

Undergraduate Medical Internship Program :
Internship is the phase of compulsory undergraduate medical training leading to award of bachelor’s degree and/or medical licensing registration.

Internship is undertaken to improve professional knowledge and acquire practical skills under supervision and guidance of a qualified supervisor in area of medical and health care to enable the graduate to function independently.

General Rules for internship training in Bhutan :
a. Internship training shall be conducted only in hospitals/ institutes/or any other health centres authorised by the council as teaching institute.
b. Every Intern shall complete the rotational posting in all departments mentioned above;

c. The concerned university/Institute shall award the degree only after completion of the internship;
d. A provisional registration shall be issued by the council to enable an intern to do the internship;

e. If the candidate fails to complete the internship training during the stipulated time of one year, further extension may be granted by the council after proper justification from the head of the institute;
