It is an web application for application for birth registration, tracking of registration application and verification birth record.

How To Verify Birth Record?

Enter the Birth Registration Number (BRN) and the date of birth of the person to verify the Birth Record

Online Birth Registration Information System (Online BRIS) :
For the registrar’s office, you have to choose from your birth place or standing address, district, etc. Step up to the ward. Apply online birth registration form first in Bangla (Unicode) and later in English and click on the Save button by editing it.

After clicking on the save button the application will be transferred to the Registrar’s office, the applicant will not have any other amendments. Then in the next step, click on the print button and get the printed copy of the application.

For certificates, collect certified certificates in the application form within 15 days and contact the registrar’s office, along with the attested copies of the necessary documents.

Where to register birth?
The chairman of the Union Parishad, the mayor of the municipality / city corporation or any councilor or other officer empowered by the mayor, the executive officer of the cantonment board and any officer authorized by the embassies, registers birth and death.

Downloading forms can be downloaded at the Registrar’s office or at the br.lgd.gov.bd web site

What are the documents to be given for birth registration?
If you are born in a hospital or clinic, then the certificate / clearance will be there. Or Photocopy of photocopy / passport of photocopy of passport / ID card of photocopy of SSC certificate and Photocopy of citizenship certificate by the representatives of the area such as Ward Commissioner / Union Council / Paurashava Chairman.

Can birth be registered online?
Br.lgd.gov.bd will be able to apply for birth registration online along with the registrar’s office. Registrar can register birth after registering the print copies of the application to the registration office.

Birth birth can be registered in the country if you are born abroad?
According to Section-4 of the Birth and Death Registration Act, Birth or Death of Births or Births of Permanent Residents can be registered under the office of the Registrar.

So, the permanent resident of Bangladesh who is born / died abroad will be able to register birth or death from the Registrar at the permanent address in the country by submitting the appropriate proof of birth or death abroad.

So, the expatriate Bangladeshis will be able to register birth in the embassy by mentioning the country’s birth and permanent address till 31 December 2016.
