Change your Address :

Use this transaction to check we have the correct address recorded for your vehicle and to advise us if it needs updating. You can also tell us if your driver licence address needs updating.

You will need :
** your New Zealand driver licence (If you don’t have a NZ driver licence you can call us on 0800 108 809 or CHAT to us (Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm) and we’ll update your address for you

** your vehicle’s plate number(s).

Note :
If you are an organisation and hold a NZ Transport Agency customer number please complete the form and email it to us. The particulars provided with this transaction will be stored and updated on the Motor Vehicle Register/Driver Licence Register as appropriate.

Collection and dissemination of this information is authorised by Part 17 of the Land Transport Act 1998 and Part 11 of the Privacy Act 1993. Corresponding information held on other parts of the Land Transport Register may be amended.

Renewal of vehicle licence  : rego
** Before you start it’s always a good idea to check that we have the correct address to send your licence label to. The label is posted to the registered person’s address and should arrive within five working days.

You will need :
** your renewal notice or the vehicle’s plate number
** a Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card or your internet banking details (POLi)

More information on licensing :
** The Accident Compensation Commission (Motor Vehicle Account Levies) Regulations 2017 have been changed to correct an error with the levy rates affecting the ACC component of the licence. This means the amount customers pay for vehicle licensing (rego) may be different to the amount stated on their licensing reminder (MR1 licence).

** If you have any concerns regarding this change please contact ACC on 0800 222 776.

Put my vehicle licence (rego) on hold :
** Use this transaction if your vehicle is temporarily off the road and you want to be exempt from paying licensing fees (rego) during this time.(minimum period is 3 months).

You will need :
** your New Zealand driver licence.
** the vehicle’s plate number.
** if you owe licensing fees make sure you have your Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card or your internet banking details (POLi).
