How To Pay Jamaica Property Tax Online?

To pay Jamaica Property Tax Online, Follow the below steps

Step 1 : Login
On the home page of the website click on the Login tab or the Client Login mini banner ad.

Step 2 : Sign In
Enter username and password, if you already have an account to make payment. Otherwise create a new login to make payments.

Step 3 : Pay Online
On the eServices page under Pay Taxes and Fees click on the option property tax.

Step 4 : Paying Property Tax Online
** Enter the valuation number, the strata lot number and select the fiscal year being paid.

Please note that if the property is not a strata, enter 0, i.e. zero for strata number.
** Add to today’s total and proceed.

Step 5 : Payment Information
Review the tax information to be paid, then enter the credit card data, making sure the information supplied is correct. Once the payment is completed you may email or print the statement of payment for your records

Where do I pay my Property Tax?
Payments can be made at any Tax Office or using Do Business

Can I claim refund of Property Tax?
Yes. The original receipt must be submitted at the Collectorate where the tax was paid. If the refund is up to $3000.00 the refund can be processed the same time and paid in cash. However, if the refund is$3000.00 and over, this will be paid by cheque. The process takes two weeks or more.

A person owns land in a rural area but is now living in Kingston. Can he pay the taxes in Kingston?
Yes, as long as he takes along the last receipt or valuation number.

Can I get relief on Property Tax?
The Government has put in place mechanisms for persons to seek relief from Property Tax where special circumstances apply. The 3 main types of relief are: Statutory, Derating and Special Discretionary Relief.

Can I object to the Property Tax I am assessed?
No. You may however object to the valuation of your property. You do this at the Land Valuation Department. It is in your interest not to make frivolous objections, as these could cost you both time and money.

  1. I like to pay my tax online but, I don’t hove TRN number. My mother was paying tax for many year for me because I live in America she paid cash the tax now she is not there and I need to pay the tax and they not been paid for two years, I don’t hove the TRN number yet I like to also find out if the tax was paid. I need help.

  2. I’m trying to pay the property tax for Canute Muir of 133 Wiltshire in the parish of Trelawny and I found it very difficult in logging on to your Website. Can the taxes be paid by phone?
