Delivery Options

Door to Post – Call our customer service and schedule a pick‐up. We will come to you and collect your item and deliver it to the Post Office that serves the address of your recipient. The recipient will have to collect the mail item at the Post Office.

Door to Door
– Call our customer service and schedule a pick-up. We will come to you and collect your item and deliver it to the recipient at their door.
Post to Door – Drop off your mail item at the Post Office and we will deliver it to the recipient at their door.

Post to Post
– Drop off your mail item at the Post Office and we will deliver it to the Post Office that serves the address of your recipient. The recipient will have to collect the mail item at the Post Office.

** Deliveries are done either at the door or at the Post Office. Ask your Post Office or our Customer Service Center whether your item can be delivered at the door.

** Cut off times to drop off your mail item varies for each location. For more information ask our customer service representatives at 922-5055, 967-0838, or 922-1647

Using Zipmail :
Guidelines for sending Zip Mail items :
1 – Present a valid Government issued ID
2 – Full name, address, telephone number, email address if available of both the sender and addressee

1. How are customs fees calculated?
Answer: Fees are calculated by Jamaica Customs. For more information contact them at 948-9734 or visit www.jacustoms.gov.jm

2. How much does it cost to send parcels overseas?
Answer: The cost will depend on the weight of the parcel and the country of destination. Please see rate sheet on our website

3. Is there an express service for local mail?
Answer: Yes. There is a next day mail delivery service called Zip Mail.

4. Will I be compensated for items stolen in Jamaica?
Answer: Compensation and the level of compensation is dependent on the outcome of an investigation which would be carried out once you file a written complaint to us.

5. I have received a notice to collect mail item at a Post office, how do I know which post office?
Answer: The name of the Post Office you are to collect your item from can be found at the date stamped on the notice.

The Post and Telecommunications Department (Jamaica Post) headquartered at 6-10 South Camp Road, Kingston, manages the island’s network of nearly 600 Post Offices and Postal Agencies.

As a Department of Government, the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology has portfolio responsibility for Jamaica Post. A second entity, the Postal Corporation of Jamaica (Post Corp.) was created and registered in 2000.
