Change & Reset Password :

Sign into your account by clicking the Sign In icon at the top right of any page.

Click Username & Password at the bottom of the column on the left. Enter your current password followed by your new password. Verify your new password. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Password Criteria :
Your new USAJOBS password must be at least eight characters (20 maximum). Contain at least one number (0-9). Contain at least one uppercase letter (A-Z). Contain at least one lowercase letter (a-z). Contain at least one special character ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ).

In addition, if someone can access your email, they may be able to gain access to your USAJOBS account. Make sure that the password to your email is different from your USAJOBS account.

Reset Password :
To reset your USAJOBS password Go to the Forgot Your Username or Password Page Enter either the primary or secondary email address listed on your account.

If you don’t have access to the email address listed on your account, fill out and submit the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page. Click Send Email.

If you haven’t accessed your account in over a year, you’ll be prompted to answer your secret questions. If you can’t answer your secret questions, fill out and submit the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page.

You’ll receive a confirmation message on the screen that an email was sent to you. Please check your inbox or spam folder for one of two possible emails :

An email titled “USAJOBS Account – Password Reset” will contain a link to reset your password. You have 24 hours to use the link to create a new password. Once you click the link, enter your new password, verify the password and click Submit.

You’ll go to the “Sign in” page. Enter your email address and new password and click Sign In. An email titled “USAJOBS Account Information” will inform you that the email address you entered does not match a registered account.

At this time, you can try to reset your password using a different email address or you can create a new account

How to reset your password when you have forgotten your security questions ?
If you’ve forgotten your security questions, please contact the USAJOBS Support Desk :
** Fill out the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page.

** Provide a current email address that you can access in the Question/Comment box. Include other information associated with your account including your username, mailing address, or phone number(s).

** Click Send.
** We’ll get back to you within one business day, once you submit the form. If you don’t hear back from us after one business day, check your email SPAM or junk folder.
