Travel Concessions Scheme :

** The concessionary bus fares scheme allows pass holders to travel anywhere in England on local buses for free during off-peak times (9.30am to 11pm) and at any time on weekends and bank holidays.

** This applies to older persons and eligible disabled people, who are resident in England.
** Further information about your bus pass is given below.
** If you do not already have a bus pass, please visit our page about applying for a travel concession.

Important changes to qualifying age :
** From 6 April 2010 the qualifying age for both men and women has been linked to the state pensionable age for women.
** The qualifying age will gradually increase from 60 to 65 over the next ten years.
** If you’re a man born after 5 April 1950, you’ll become eligible when you reach the pensionable age of a woman born on the same day.

How To Apply :
Applying for an older person’s bus pass :
** All Bracknell Forest concessionary bus passes are now e+ cards.
** You can check when you’ll become eligible by entering your sex and date of birth into the State Pension age calculator.

Apply for a concessionary bus pass if you have an e+ card :
** If you have an e+ card and your personal details haven’t changed, we may be able to add your concessionary bus pass to your e+ card.

You can apply in two ways:
** by telephone on 01344 352000 or
** by coming in to Time Square – or our libraries or leisure centres.
** Apply for a concessionary bus pass if you don’t have an e+ card

There are two ways to apply :
** online by using the e+ card application form – please be aware you will still need to bring in three documents; proof of age (passport, birth certificate), proof of residency (utility bills less than six months old) and proof of identity (bank card, passport) – a photo driving licence will cover all three proofs

** come into our offices, libraries or leisure centres in person and bring in all proofs of documents, proof of age (passport, birth certificate), proof of residency (utility bills less than six months old) and proof of identity (bank card, passport) – a photo driving licence will cover all three proofs

Applying for disabled person’s bus pass :
** If you suffer from a disability please apply in the same way as shown above.
** However you will need to bring additional documented proof of disability into our Time Square council office to complete your application.

Renewal of bus passes :
** Your e+ bus pass lasts for up to five years.
** The expiry date is printed on your pass next to your photo.
** You can contact the council to renew your pass up to one month prior to the expiry date.
