FAQ On FSA

What is FSA?
FSA stands for Fuel Surcharge Adjustment. It is the adjustment (positive / negative) given to the customer on units consumed due to variation in fuel prices as determined by NEPRA.

Do I have to inform K-Electric if my premises closes?
It is advantageous to inform K-Electric if premises are closed so that the organisation is aware of the reason for the fall in consumption.

How can a consumer get the Dues Clearance Certificate from KE?
An application is required to be submitted at the respective IBC for obtaining Dues Clearance Certificate (where there are no outstanding dues against the premises).

What is the procedure for change of name/address?
If the consumer sells the premises where the connection is installed, it shall be obligatory upon the new owner to apply to KE for a change of name. Such an application shall be accompanied by written consent of the previous owner regarding transfer of the security deposit in the name of the new owner.

You can get your name updated on the bill by providing the following documents :
** Sales agreement / Sales Deed / Sub Lease / Mutation Letter
** CNIC copy
** Last paid bill
** NOC on Rs. 100 bond paper from applicant

Additional documents for Industries only :
** Trade licence
** NTN certificate
Additional documents in case of tenant :
** Tenancy agreement
** CNIC copy of owner

Additional documents for Kachi Abadi :
Reference letter of Town Nazim. Copies of documents must be attested by Gazette officer. Original documents should be brought to the IBC at the time of submission of application.

What are ‘installments’?
Installments are provided, as per company policy, to facilitate payments from consumers who are either defaulters or have outstanding amounts in arrears.

You can apply for a new K-Electric connection online by following these steps:
1. Go to the K-Electric website: https://www.ke.com.pk/.
2. Click on the “New Connections” tab.
3. Click on the “Apply Online” button.
4. Fill out the application form.
5. Attach the required documents.
6. Click on the “Submit” button.

The required documents for a new K-Electric connection are:
** Proof of ownership of the property: This can be a copy of the title deed, a lease agreement, or a utility bill.
** Proof of identity: This can be a copy of your passport, national identity card, or driving license.
** Proof of address: This can be a copy of your utility bill, bank statement, or rent agreement.
** Demand note: This is a document that is issued by K-Electric and it shows the estimated cost of the new connection.
