To register, you’ll need :
** Your Savings account sort code and account number or your Credit card number — they’re on your welcome letter
** Some personal details, including your address
** An online username – you’ll use it when you activate your account and every time you log in.

What happens next?
** We’ll write to you to let you know your access code.
** Use your username and access code to activate your online account.

How to register :
** Registering for online servicing is easy and only takes a few minutes.

You will need :
** Your name, address and details of an account you have with us
** The sort code and account number of your existing Sainsbury’s Bank savings account
** Your existing Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card number.
** During the registration process you will be asked to choose a unique username for logging into your account.
** Once you have completed the registration process you will need to activate your account.
** You will receive an activation letter in the next 7 days.
** Upon receipt you will be able to complete the easy to follow activation process by following the instructions on the letter.

2. Using The Online Service :
a. These conditions apply to your use of our online service and in relation to any accounts. They explain the relationship between you and us in relation to our online service. You should read these conditions carefully to understand how these services work and your and our rights and duties under them.

If there is a conflict between these conditions and your account conditions, these conditions will apply. This means that, when you use our online service both sets of conditions will apply unless they contradict each other in which case, the relevant condition in these conditions apply.

b. If any of your accounts is a joint account, these conditions apply to all of you together and any of you separately. If more than one of you uses our online service you must each choose your own username, password and additional security details.

c. By registering to use our online service, you accept these conditions and agree that we may communicate with you by e-mail or through our website.

d. When you use our online service you must follow the instructions we give you from time to time. You are responsible for ensuring that your computer, software and other equipment are capable of being used with our online service.

e. Our online sites are secure. Disconnection from the Internet or leaving these sites will not automatically log you off. You must always use the log off facility when you are finished and never leave your machine unattended while you are logged in. As a security measure, if you have not used the sites for more than a specified period of time we will ask you to log in again.

3. What Rules Apply To Security?
a. As part of the registration for our online service you must provide us with identity details before we will allow you to use the services for the first time. You must enter your identity details immediately after signing in, so we can identify you.

b. Every time you use our online service you must give us your username, your password and the answer to an additional security question.
c. You can change your username or password online by following the instructions on the screen.
d. For administration or security reasons, we can require you to choose a new username or change your password before you use (or carry on using) our online service.

Activate your Sainsbury’s Online Banking account :
To activate your Sainsbury’s Online Banking account you’ll need:
** Your username — you chose it when you registered and it was in our confirmation email
** Your access code (you’ll find this on your welcome letter).

Then follow these simple steps:
** Set a password
** Answers some security questions
** Click on ‘next’
** You’ll need to enter your username and password every time you log in.

Online Servicing activation process :
To activate your Online Servicing account you will need the following information:
** Your username which you chose during registration
** Your activation code
** You will be asked to choose a unique password for logging into your account
** must be a minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 characters and not the same as your username.
** Your password is case sensitive (this means if you use any capital letters you must use them whenever you enter your password in the future).
** It should only take a few minutes to complete the activation process after which you will be able to log in to your account and view and service all your Sainsbury’s Bank Savings and Credit Card accounts.

Activate online banking :
** Please enter your chosen username and the access code that has been provided to you to activate Online Banking.

** Should you experience a problem entering your username or access code, then please contact the Online Helpdesk on 0500 40 50 60. Our opening hours are Mon – Fri 08:00 – 22:00 and Sat & Sun 08:00 – 20:00.

  1. I have tried to log into Sainsburys online banking but there seems to be a problem. It keeps saying that the server was not responding. I thought this was a 24 hour service.
    I wanted to view my credit card statement.
