Online applications :
Successful applications :
** If your application is successful we’ll send you your credit card and PIN within 7-10 working days.

If you need to send us ID :
** Sometimes we need to do extra checks to allow us to make our decision.
** If we need extra ID from you we will send you a letter explaining what we need and an envelope to return the photocopies in.

Online Banking access :
** Once you have your credit card you can manage it online.
** To get log on details simply call 0845 602 0350.
** Lines open 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday.

Unsuccessful applications :
** We’ll write to you to confirm we couldn’t offer you the card.

Santander call charges :
** Call charges for telephone numbers used on this website

0800 and 0808 numbers :
** Calls from UK landlines and mobiles are free. (Mobile calls to 0800 and 0808 numbers became free from 1 July 2015.)

03 numbers :
** Calls from UK landlines and mobiles cost no more than calls to geographic numbers (01 or 02) and are included in inclusive minutes and discount schemes in the same way.

0845 numbers :
** Calls cost between 2p and 5p per minute plus your telephone company’s network access charge.

0870 numbers :
** Calls cost between 1p and 2p per minute plus your telephone company’s network access charge.

0844 numbers :
** Calls cost between 4p and 7p per minute plus your telephone company’s network access charge.

** Calls may be recorded or monitored and calls from abroad may cost significantly more. Details correct as of July 2015.

Phone Applications :
Straight away :
** We will tell you whether your application is successful or not and whether we need further information, such as ID.
** If we need further ID we’ll send you a letter with a freepost envelope to return the photocopies.

Successful Applications :
** You don’t need to do anything else.
** We’ll send you a welcome letter and then send you your credit card and PIN separately.
** Your card and PIN should arrive within 7-10 working days.

Remember to :
** send photocopies, not originals
** photocopy the front and back of documents
** write your reference number, name and date of birth on each photocopy.

I haven’t received my credit card or PIN. What do I do?
** We post your credit card and PIN to the address on your application within 7 days of sending your welcome letter/email.
** They are sent separately for security.
** In case there has been a postal delay, we recommend waiting 10 days for these to arrive before contacting us.

Why can’t you offer me a credit card?
** When you apply we will credit score your application using the information in your application, any information we already hold about you and information we get from Experian, a credit reference agency.
** We decide whether to offer you a credit card based on your credit score and whether you meet our business lending criteria.
** See what information is held about you at the credit reference agency we use For a small fee, Experian can provide you with a Statutory Credit Report.
** This can help you understand the information we’ve used and you can check everything is correct.
