How To Check SIA Licence Application Status?

** Our application status checker allows you to confirm whether we have received your licence application and to check on its progress.

** The service gives an ‘at-a-glance’ indication of where your application is in the licensing process.
** It also provides detailed information that explains exactly what is happening with your application –

For example :
** “Your application was received on [DATE].
** We are currently making sure you have provided all the information we need.
** We aim to process correctly completed applications within five weeks.”
** “Your application was incomplete.
** A letter was sent on [DATE] which explains what information we require to resolve this.
** We have not taken payment for your application.”
** The status checker can also tell you if we have made a decision on whether to grant you a licence – and if we have, it will tell you what that decision is.
** If we have granted your licence it will even give you your licence number.

Application Status Checker :
** Entering application number is the most efficient way to search for an application.
** If you do not have the application number, please enter surname, first name and date of birth.
** If you know the middle name please enter it as well.

Application Tracker :
** Our application status checker allows you to confirm whether we have received your application and to check on its progress.
** We aim to process a minimum of 80% of all correctly completed applications within 25 working days.
** This time starts from the day your application is entered onto our system and ends on the day we make our decision.

** The clock is stopped if your application fails its checks – that is, if we have to send it back to you because you have not filled it in correctly or you have not provided the required supporting documentation.

** The clock is reset when you send your application back to us.
** Complex applications (for example, applications subject to additional criminality or qualification enquiries and those requiring overseas criminality checks) may take longer than 25 working days.
