Eligible voters living in Western Australia are required to enrol and vote in this election. If you are 16 or 17 you can enrol now so when you turn 18 you’ll be able to vote.

Any enrolment application submitted to the AEC after the rolls closed at 8pm AWST Friday 7 March 2014 cannot be accepted for this Senate election and will not be reflected through this facility.

If you have sent an enrolment form to the AEC recently and you are not able to confirm your enrolment through this facility please call 13 23 26.

You can check your current electoral enrolment by entering your details below.

For privacy reasons, your electoral enrolment will only be confirmed if the details you enter are an exact match to your details on the electoral roll.

If you cannot confirm your electoral enrolment online it doesn’t mean you are not on the electoral roll. Please contact the AEC and we can check your enrolment details.

If you have recently completed an enrolment form please allow a few days for the AEC to receive your form, process it and update the electoral roll. If you recently enrolled or changed your address online you can check the progress of your enrolment by using the receipt number you were provided with.

Enrol to vote :

To enrol for the first time or get back on the roll, you can enrol online.
You will need to provide evidence of your identity. You can use your driver’s licence, Australian passport number or have someone who is enrolled confirm your identity.

You are required by law to enrol if you:
are an Australian citizen, or eligible British subject,
aged 18 years and over, and
have lived at your address for at least one month.
If you are overseas or going overseas don’t use this form to enrol. Please see information on going overseas.

FAQs :
Why have I received an email or SMS from the AEC?
The AEC has sent email and SMS messages to encourage people to enrol or update their enrolment details. All Australian citizens aged 18 years or over are required by law to enrol and keep their enrolment details up to date.

If you have received an email or sms message it is because the AEC has information that indicates you may either need to enrol or update your enrolment details. The AEC also encourages citizens that are 16 and 17 to enrol so that they are able to vote when they turn 18.

The AEC has sent these messages via email or SMS where email addresses and/or mobile phone number has been provided to either the AEC as part of an enrolment application, or to another government agency.

More information is available to help you either enrol for the first time, update your address, change your name, or if you are living or working overseas.

What is ‘close of rolls’?
The ‘close of rolls’ is the date the electoral roll closes for the federal election. When the writs are issued for the federal election, a date is set for the close of rolls. After this date, you cannot enrol or update your details on the electoral roll for the federal election.

The close of rolls date is 8pm local Australian time on the seventh calendar day after the writs are issued for the federal election. You must be enrolled at your current address so you can vote for the candidates in your electorate (also known as electoral division) in the federal election.

My husband, Leonard Roy Boyd, has recently completed a form advising of a change of address from 10 Ramsay Court Cheltenham Vic 3192 to 7B Booth Street Parkdale Vic. 3195, but I have not received a form. My husband was the sole owner of 10 Ramsay Court, however we are joint owners of 7B Booth Street. Would you please advise as to my responsibility in this matter and provide me with a form and instructions if I am required to provide additional information?
