Ipophil Trademarks Online Filing System

The Trademarks Online Filing System (“TM Online”) is part of the e-Government Program of the Intellectual Property Philippines (“IP Philippines”).

TM Online is an electronic filing system for filing applications for the registration of trademarks, service marks, geographical indications, and other marks of ownership.

Basic requirements for online filing

** Computer with Internet Access;
Browser: Internet Explorer versions 5.5 or 6.0 and Javascript enabled;
** Screen Resolution of 1024 x 768 is recommended;
Hardware Requirement: Pentium III processor or higher is recommended; and

Enrolment in Banco de Oro (BDO) e-payment:
** Those with existing account with BDO will need to enroll in BDO’s e-Payment system.
** Those without an account with BDO may open an account with any BDO to enable them to enroll in the e-payment system.

Advisory

Pursuant to Office Order No. 199, s. 2011, payments for trademark applications filed online can only be made via the following channels[/u][/b]:
1. Banco de Oro (BDO) Debit Payment System: For corporate clients of BDO

2. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Over-the-Counter and BPI Express Assist (BEA): For individual payors (depositors and non-depositors of BPI)
** All applications made online will continue to receive the 20% discount.

** The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines no longer accepts payments via Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) over-the-counter facility.

** Terms and Conditions for Users of the Trademarks Online Filing System of the Intellectual Property Philippines
** This User Agreement (“Agreement”) pertains to the Trademarks Online Filing System (“TM Online”) of the Intellectual Property Office (“IP Philippines”).

** Please note that the IP Philippines’ electronic filing system is separate and distinct from the bank’s electronic payment facility.


** Please read this Agreement carefully before using the TM Online facility.
** The IP Philippines may amend this Agreement at any time, and any changes made by the IP Philippines will become effective immediately upon posting of the revised Agreement.

** You agree to review the terms and conditions periodically.
** Your continued use of the TM Online facility means that you accept the terms and conditions in this Agreement.
** By clicking on the “I Agree” button, you acknowledge that you understand and accept the terms and conditions set forth below.
** If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, click on the “Cancel” button and do not access the online filing facility.

** The IP Philippines shall not be liable for the security of any information you upload via the TM Online facility.
** The IP Philippines does not guarantee uninterrupted service at all times since access to the facility depends on your computer, internet service provider, or other similar factors beyond the control of the IP Philippines.
** You assume full responsibility for all the information you transmit through the IP Philippines’ TM Online facility.
** The IP Philippines shall not be liable in any way to any third party who may be damaged or prejudiced by any information you transmit to the IP Philippines.
** You undertake that you are not transmitting any statement that contains any libelous, defamatory, or damaging material.
** All online applications shall be governed by the Intellectual Property Code, the Trademark Regulations, the Electronic Commerce Act, and other pertinent laws, rules, and regulations.

** Finally, the IP Philippines is not a party to your agreement with the bank for the online payment/bank transfer facility, and therefore, the IP Philippines shall not be held liable for any injury or damage you may sustain as a result of your transaction with the bank or for your use of its payment gateway facility
