Vodacom Predict-a-Stat Competition 2015:
Vodacom (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) is running the Vodacom Predict-a-Stat Competition (“the Competition”) on the Vodacom Rugby App. The Vodacom Rugby App is available on Android, IOS and Windows App Stores.

All participants during the term of the Competition agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
1. The Competition is open to subscribers on any mobile network provider in South Africa and runs over eight rounds from 08h00 on 8 September 2015 to 18h00 on 31 October 2015 (“end date”) as per schedule below:
2. One (1) lucky entrant stands a chance of winning one (1) Samsung Galaxy A5 handset in each round.
3. Finalists for the Competition will be selected after the end date of each round based on the closest or correct prediction for each of the five categories on the Vodacom Rugby App as specified in clause 6 in these Terms and Conditions,.
4. Winners will be selected by means of a random draw after the end date each round of the Competition, from all eligible finalists which meet the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions. The first eligible, qualifying entry drawn and verified will be selected to win the prize.
5. The winners will be notified within one (1) working week after the end date of each round.
6. To enter:
i. Download the latest version of the Vodacom Rugby App or update to ensure that you have version 4 of the App on your mobile phone as the Competition is only available in the latest version of the app: v4. Downloading the Vodacom Rugby App is free of charge. Data charges as per user’s mobile service provider or existing price plan apply.
ii. Locate the Predict-a-Stat section in the Vodacom Rugby App.
iii. Follow on-screen prompts to make predictions in any one of the five (5) stats categories per round:
1. Meters Run
2. Tackles
3. Penalties Conceded
4. Passes
5. Tries
iv. Tick checkbox to accept T&C’s;
v. Click “Predict” to submit your entry.
An on-screen confirmation message will appear to confirm successful entry.
7. Entrants are restricted to only enter/predict once per unique mobile number per category as listed above in each round as stipulated in clause 1.
8. The Competition is only open to natural persons. Entries received from business accounts held by Corporates and SMEs are excluded from participating and winning in the Competition.
9. All the information provided or related to this Competition shall be captured by a Vodacom approved third party service provider (New Media Publishing) for the purpose of running the Competition only.
10. Only entries received during the Competition period as stipulated in clause 1 above will qualify as potential winners.
11. Participants must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid South African identity document or permanent residence permit or temporary residence permit valid for a period exceeding 3 (three) months for the Republic of South Africa and valid at the end date.
12. Only entrants who are using SIM cards that have been RICA registered are eligible to win the Competition. Each owner of a SIM card(s) is responsible to comply with South African law by RICA registering their SIM cards.
13. The Competition is also subject to, and must be read in conjunction with, Vodacom’s existing Terms and Conditions applicable to its web site and mobile site respectively on: https://www.vodacom.co.za/
14. Any participant under the age of 18 shall present their parent / guardian’s written consent to enter the Competition at Vodacom’s request.
15. There are no additional charges for participating in the Competition, but standard data costs as per user’s existing price plan apply for data usage.
16. Vodacom shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the winner for entering the Competition or claiming the prize.
17. Vodacom will share personal details of winners, such as name and contact number with a Vodacom approved agency (Openfield Marketing Johannesburg (Pty) Ltd) to notify winners that they have won the Competition and you hereby agree to such disclosure as is necessary to effect the prize delivery fulfilment.
18. Openfield Marketing Johannesburg (Pty) Ltd) will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners.
19. The winners will be contacted during normal working hours, between 8 (eight) in the morning and 5 (five) in the afternoon.
20. Openfield Marketing Johannesburg (Pty) Ltd) shall attempt to contact the winners over a period of two (2) days before proceeding to the first runner up. The same process will be followed until a winner is confirmed.
21.Should any participant not be available on the contact number provided during the timeframe stipulated or reject, forfeit or decline acceptance of the prize, that person’s right to the prize will be deemed to have been waived and the prize will be forfeited. Vodacom reserves the right to then award the prize to the next selected participant.
22. In the event that the user of the mobile phone (i.e. the participant in the Competition) is not the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges, then the prize will be awarded to the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges.
23. The claim for the prize will be subject to security and validation checks failing which the winner will forfeit the prize and a new name will be drawn and if the winner cannot accept the prize for any reason whatsoever, another name will be drawn.
24. The winners must be able to identify themselves in a manner determined by Vodacom, as the qualifying entrants to the Competition and have to comply with the required validation procedure in order to claim the prizes.
25. Vodacom reserves the right to withhold any prize until it is satisfied that the claim by the winner is valid.
