Inquiry System of Progress of Application for “Special Authorization to Stay” (for Foreign Students)
** The foreign students may use this system to enquire the progress of their “Special Authorization to Stay” application. For further information please call (853) 2872 5488 for detail.

Authorization to Stay :
Target Groups and Application Eligibility :
A. Target People
Individuals who need to extend their “Authorization to Stay” for not more than 90 days

B. Requirement :
** Meeting the stipulations relevant to the system of entry, stay and residence authorization in Macao (e.g. 1.
** In possession of a valid passport / travel document / identification document for entry to and departure from Macao; and

2. Not in a lawfully restricted status. [Note: For reference, please see ‘Remark’])

Application Approach :
1. The interested person or a legal representative making the application 5 days before the expiry of the “Authorization to Stay”;

2. The legal representative should submit the following:
1) A certified letter of authorization;
2) A copy of his/her valid identification document.

3. The Immigration Department can refuse to accept applications which are submitted later than the above limited period or applications which obviously lack a justification.

1. Police Station, Taipa Police Station and Investigation Subdivision of the Immigration Department: 24 hours
2. Foreigners Subdivision and Non-resident Workers Subdivision of the Immigration Department

Mon to Thu: 9:00 – 17:45 (Tags dispensed until 16:30 at the Non-resident Workers Subdivision and until 17:00 at the other Subdivisions)
Fri: 9:00 – 17:30 (Same as above)

Closed on Sat, Sun and government holidays
