How To Track NADRA NICOP/POC Application Status?

You can track the status of your NICOP/POC application online at the NADRA website after eight weeks of acknowledgment from the Consulate.

Below are the steps to track your application :
1. Go to the website www.nadra.gov.pk


2. Click on the icon “NICOP/POC Tracking”. Enter the Following Details


1. Enter your Form Number / Receipt Number / CNIC / NIC
2. Select the appropriate Card Type
3.  Enter Captcha Code
4. click on Check Status button.

Note:

1 : Please note, processing and issuance of NICOP cards take twelve to sixteen weeks and it is delivered from the NADRA office to the applicant’s U.S residence address provided on the application. But, in case of incomplete application submitted processing time period may be extended and further documents may be required by NADRA office.

2 : The NICOP cards processing may take longer than the routine processing time, if the data provided is incorrect or doesn’t tally with the NADRA records i.e. photos, name, Pakistani address, thumb impression/ applicant signature. It may also take longer due to any unforeseen reasons at NADRA Headquarters.

What is NICOP?

National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is a registration document issued to a eligible citizen of Pakistan who lives or has reference abroad. Any citizen of Pakistan can apply for NICOP and can travel to Pakistan without requiring a visa in case of dual nationality.

Please note that Passport number is a mandatory pre-requisite in case of applying for NICOP of new born babies if they are born abroad.

How can I get myself cleared from “DUP” category?
A citizen obtaining two or more identity cards/certificates with different Identity Numbers is marked “DUP” in NADRA database. Once you apply for DUP clearance, one of your NICOP will be retained while the other (duplicate) will be surrendered automatically.

Citizen will have a choice to retain any one of his/her NICs/Certificates through an application made to National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA). You can visit any NADRA Registration Center (NRC) and apply for “DUP” clearance. The fee charged for this is Rs. 1000.

How long will it take from application completion to delivery?
There are two means in which a card can be delivered.
Through NRC :
** Normal – 30 days
** Urgent – 15 days
** Fast Track – 7 Days (Queue priority at NRCs for immediate processing)

Through Pak Identity :
** Application Processing – 7 days
** Local Shipping in Pakistan – 2 days
** International Shipping – 5 Days

Please note that the processing time of your application starts after submission of your attested form.

Additional Simplified Procedure

You can track the status of your NADRA NICOP/POC application online by following these steps:
1. Go to the NADRA website: https://www.nadra.gov.pk/.
2. Click on the “NICOP/POC” tab.
3. Click on the “Track Application Status” button.
4. Enter your Application Tracking ID (ATID).
5. Click on the “Submit” button.

Your application status will be displayed on the screen. You can also track the status of your NADRA NICOP/POC application by phone. The NADRA Contact Center number is 0800-11111.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when tracking the status of your NADRA NICOP/POC application:
** The ATID is a 10-digit number that is given to you when you apply for a NICOP/POC.
** You can find your ATID on your application receipt.
** If you do not have your ATID, you can contact the NADRA Contact Center for assistance.
** The NADRA Contact Center is available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
** The processing time for a NICOP/POC application is usually 3-6 months.
** If your application has not been processed within 6 months, you can contact the NADRA Contact Center for assistance.
