How To Apply For Trinidad & Tobago New Water Service?

To apply for Trinidad & Tobago New Water Service, follow the below procedure

Single Property: (domestic or non-domestic)
** Complete an Agreement/Application for New Water Service Form.
** Visit your District Revenue Office for the Certification of Assessment of Premises (Part III of Form) & the District Medical Office for approval of drainage (Part IV of Form).

** A non-refundable deposit: $200.00 must be paid at any Customer Service Centre on submission of the New Water Service Form following which a feasibility study will be conducted. (Feasibility valid for one year upon approval.)
** Cost of the connection dependent on the location to the nearest main:
** Minimum: $687.50 Maximum: $737.50 (VAT inclusive)
** Time period: 2 weeks – 1 month

Building Developments:
Obtain an Application For Installation Of Plumbing System form together with a copy of the procedural process from our New Services Department at Head Office, St. Joseph.

Outline Approval:
Upon submission the form must be accompanied by:
** A copy of a valid Town and Country Approval
** 2 copies of a Location Plan
** 2 copies of a Topographical Plan

If the Wastewater Disposal System proposed requires the use of a Septic Tank, a Soil Percolation Test must be done independently.

Supervision Fee: $345.00 (VAT inclusive)

** Submit detailed plans for Water and Sewer Designs.
** A Work Schedule is required to facilitate periodic inspections of the site.

Completion Certificate:
** Issued after satisfactory inspections and tests of both water and sewer connections.
** Cost of interconnection: varies depending on size of connection/meter

Has your building been assessed?
** Visit your District Revenue Office for procedures on assessment.
** Visit any of our Customer Service Centres for a Provisional Assessment.
** Two (2) forms of valid identification must be provided.

If your building was assessed :
** Visit any of our Customer Service Centres and provide a Certificate of Assessment.
** Two (2) forms of valid identification must be provided.

If you received a bill :
** All rates become due for payment 1 month after the date of the bill.

Rates can be paid through commercial banks, Western Union, Sure Pay and TT Post outlets by:
** Over-the-counter payments
** Tele-banking Transfers
** Standing Orders
** VIA
** Some Mortgage Companies and Credit Unions also arrange payment of rates for their customers.
** Salary deductions can also be made through some places of employment; collect a form at any Customer Service Centre.

  • Good morning.
    I submitted an application for a clearance certificate new water service located at
    Lot 503, Butterscotch Drive, Woodford Gardens Blvd, Chaguanas.
    The application was dated September 10th 2020 and was dropped off at the Couva Office.
    Can you please provide an update and also if possible, a projected time when these requests could be fulfilled?
