What is Cayman Islands Police Clearance Certificate Online Application?
The Cayman Islands eServices Portal hosts the online application for a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), which is an official document issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) confirming an individual’s criminal history or lack thereof in the jurisdiction.
How To Apply For Police Clearance Certificate in Cayman Islands?

What you will need:
** Digital copy of your passport information page.
** Additional supporting documents in digital form if your name has changed (eg. by marriage or deed poll).
** A debit/credit card for payment. We accept the following card types: *CCV code AND expiry day within 14 years required.
Completing the Form and Payment:
** This application does not support Internet Explorer. Please use a different browser to complete your online application, such as Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. You will also need to enable pop-ups to complete your online payment.
** For your protection, once you start the application you will not be able to save it and return later on.
** If you leave the application idle for 15 minutes, the page will expire and you may be returned to the main page. If you click the ‘Cancel Application’ button at any stage all data entered will be lost.
** When you pay for your certificate(s) online, your card information will be received by the payment processing gateway Service Provider.
** The Cayman Islands Government will not collect or retain any card information. You will be issued a receipt for any transaction, which you can view, print or save after your payment has been authorised. You will also receive a confirmation email attaching your receipt.
** If you do not receive your confirmation and PCC emails (if email delivery option was requested) in your inbox, please check your email spam and junk folders.
** Also, ensure emails from rcipcro@rcips.ky are not being blocked by your email spam or junk mail filter.
** If you are using a company email address, before contacting us, ensure your IT department is not blocking the rcipcro@rcips.ky domain.
Processing and Collection:
After you submit your application, the confirmation page will indicate the time your certificate will be ready for collection. However, if there is an issue with your application and we have to contact you for further information, your application may be delayed.
Supporting Documents of Cayman Islands Police Clearance Certificate
** When applying for a Police Clearance Certificate online, you must submit a digital copy of your passport information page which clearly shows your photograph, personal information, expiry date, nationality, machine readable zone, extension pages and signature (if applicable).
** If the Police Clearance Certificate will be used to apply for a United States of America Visa Waiver and the applicant is 13 years or older, the passport must be valid for at least seven (7) months.
** If the Police Clearance Certificate will be used to apply for a United States of America Visa and the applicant is 16 years or older, the passport must be valid for at least six (6) months.
** You may also need to submit other document in digital format, depending on the details of your application and who will collect your Police Clearance Certificate. Please see more information below.
** All digital documents must be PDF, JPG, GIF, TIF or PNG and no more than 2MB in size. If we cannot read your documents due to low image quality then your application may be delayed.
** If you are Caymanian and you do not have a passport, you can apply for a Police Clearance Certificate in person at the Criminal Records Office using your birth certificate (original or notarised copy).
** You can also apply for a Police Clearance Certificate for your Caymanian child using his or her birth certificate. At collection, photo identification must be produced by the applicant or a parent listed on the birth certificate.
Cayman Islands Passport Holders:
** If you have a Cayman Islands passport you only need to submit a digital copy of your passport information page.
** If you will not be using the Police Clearance Certificate to apply for a visa or waiver to travel to the United States of America, expired Cayman Islands passports within three (3) months of the expiration date are acceptable.
All Other Passport Holders:
If you do not have a Cayman Islands passport, you must submit a digital copy of your passport information page.
Name Changes:
You must list all of your previous legal names as well as aliases and nicknames on your application. If your name has changed by deed poll or marriage, you must submit relevant documentation.
Emergency Records:
** If you are applying for a Police Clearance Certificate due to a medical emergency, you must submit a medical referral letter.
** For out of hours medical emergency records, please call the George Town Police Station at +1 345 949 4222.
Applicants Under 17 Years Old
** A parent or legal guardian must submit the online application on behalf of persons under 17 years old.
** You will also need to submit a copy of your childs birth certificate or proof of guardianship of your legal ward.
** When you collect the Police Clearance Certificate in person, you must bring your child or legal wards passport and original or notarised copies of all documents submitted as part of this application for verification.
** Generally, only applicants aged 13 and older are required to apply for a Police Clearance Certificate.
** Under some special circumstances, including medical emergency, a Police Clearance Certificate is required by authorities in the United States of America.
Payment of Cayman Islands Police Clearance Certificate
** The prescribed fee for a Police Clearance Certificate is $25.00 Cayman Islands Dollars for regular service and $75.00 Cayman Islands Dollars for medical express service.
** The Criminal Records Office is open to the public Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 12:00PM and closed on all locally recognised public holidays.
** The Cayman Islands Government accepts Visa and Mastercard and you can use a debit or credit card issued anywhere in the world for online payment.
** Your payment will be processed in Cayman Islands Dollars. If you have questions about any exchange rate that will be used or foreign currency transaction fees, please contact the bank that issued your card.
** When you pay for your certificate(s) online, your card information will be received by the payment processing gateway Service Provider. The Cayman Islands Government will not collect or retain any card information
** You will be issued a receipt for any transaction, which you can view, print or save after your payment has been authorised. You will also receive a confirmation email to the address provided in your application attaching your receipt.
** If there are any issues with your payment, or if you do not receive your receipt, please contact the Criminal Records Office.
