2015 Scholarships To Italy :

University of Calabria in Rome, Italy, in partnership with the Government of Liberia, offers 125 scholarships to international students who wish to be enrolled in its Laurea Magistrale (2nd Cycle Degree) in various disciplines: Engineering, Agriculture, Geology, Architecture, Information Technology (IT), Mining, Development Studies etc…
Scholarships are for study at graduate level in Rome, Italy, at theUniversity of Calabria.

The scholarships begin in 2015. Their aim is to give a unique opportunity to Liberians to strengthen their skills and expose them to best practices and training in Italy.

Applicants must:

** be Liberian national with previous degree (s) and expertise in the priority fields;
** be under the age of 35;
** possess undergraduate qualifications with a minimum 3.00 GPA; (Undergraduate or PhD students need not apply) All eligible applicants are requested to register and submit an online application form including all requirement documents to www.unicaladmission.it. Additional information concerning the program can be obtained from the above website.

What do they cover:

** 85 grants board and lodging for two years;
** An intensive course of Italian language and culture (80 hours), free of charge.

Criteria to Benefit for Payment of WAEC Fees :
Due to constant requests from Junior and Senior High School students to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the payment of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) fees, the Student Assistance Desk in the Office of the President is pleased to publish the below requirements that must be met by all students seeking assistance :

1. A beneficiary must demonstrate that he/she is incapable of meeting the payment requirement. The administration of the schools where the students attend will provide information on the students and subject each student to a process that will ensure due diligence.

2. A beneficiary must have a current grade point average of 80% or above in each of the sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
3. A beneficiary must submit a 500-word essay on why he/she needs the assistance.

4. A beneficiary must submit a written request for WAEC fees payment assistance addressed to the below address:

5. A beneficiary must be willing, when called upon, to render a few hours of community service.

Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is the 24th President of Liberia and Africa’s first democratically elected female Head of State; is serving her second term as President after winning the 2011 presidential election.

She’s one of the three who won the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in 2011. Madam Sirleaf has throughout her career demonstrated passionate commitment to hard work, integrity, good governance and has been advocating for the rights of women and the importance of education to provide a better future for her country and its people.

  • I have great interest in the scholarship program and I really want to learn ICT but am a high school graduate with no Degree yet. Is there any chance for some of us?
