General Distance Learning Course on Intellectual Property

A particularly appropriate way of acquiring basic knowledge of intellectual property is the General Distance Learning Course on Intellectual Property (online) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (course code: DL-101).

In cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization, the State Intellectual Property Office enables free attendance of this course in Croatian (course code: DL-101HR). The course in Croatian is compliant with the curriculum of the original DL-101 course, and an electronic certificate is obtained upon its successful completion, equivalent to the DL-101 course certificate issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization. The course curriculum is available on the website of the State Intellectual Property Office.

The participant is assigned a mentor, an expert in the field of intellectual property, who is at their disposal to assist them in any way in acquiring the necessary knowledge as easily and as much as possible. The course consists of eleven modules, one for each specific area of intellectual property. Each module contains questions at the end for the purpose of verifying the acquired knowledge. At the end of the course, a final examination is taken.

The examination consists of multiple-choice questions. The examination shall be completed online within two and a half hours (150 minutes). All participants are informed about the manner of taking the final examination one week before the end of the course.
