Terms and Conditions :

It is free of charge and voluntary to create a profile and enter information in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs database of Danes abroad.

The name “Ministry of Foreign Affairs” or “Foreign Service” comprises all units in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Danish Embassies, Consulates General and Honorary Consulates.

If you are a Danish citizen and reside abroad for a short or a long period of time, or if you reside in Denmark and travel abroad for a short or a long period of time, you may register in the database.

If you are a foreign national with a valid Danish residence permit and reside in Denmark, you may register short-term trips outside Denmark.

Through your registration, you enable the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact you and assist you in connection with any emergency crisis situations abroad, if the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs finds that this is necessary.

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will assess when it is considered necessary to contact you. Consequently, even if you have registered, it does not mean that you will be contacted by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You may always contact the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly, including the nearest Danish Embassy if you are in need of assistance. There may be places or situations where the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot assist you, or only to a very limited extent, for example due to the security situation.

In connection with the registration, you may enter information about your trip or residence, including duration, passport or travel document, addresses abroad, contact information, information about accompanying family members and/or fellow travellers and contact information regarding family members in Denmark or abroad. It is obligatory to enter a minimum of personal information. Unless the obligatory information is entered, the registration cannot be completed.

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will consider you departed after the date you have indicated in your registration as the date of departure.

If you create a profile but omit to fill in the profile with the obligatory information, or if you have a profile which you have not logged into for 12 months, the profile will be closed. An automatically generated email will be sent to you before the profile is closed. Once the profile has been closed, it is no longer accessible and cannot be reopened.

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs may delete profiles created by persons who have no connection with Denmark.

You may delete your profile at any time. A profile that has been deleted cannot be reopened.

If you register other persons in your profile as “accompanying persons”, you are obliged to ensure that these persons are informed of and accept these Terms and Conditions.

You may at any time obtain an insight into the information that is registered in your profile by logging into the profile.

In connection with any crisis situations or security threats abroad, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs may contact you, accompanying persons, contact persons or others who you have allowed the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact.

Thereby you accept to receive information from an embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as information/invitations of a more social natur. You can at all times change your acceptance/decline in your profile.
