Register a mortgage of Commercial establishment :
a. Attestation of the mortgage contract :
** The mortgagor or the mortgagee shall register and attest the mortgage contract in the attestations and approvals section or register the contract which has been attested in advance in the notary.

** The contract and all the attachments are reviewed to ensure its legal capacity and its date, durations, parties and articles.
** The contract is signed in presence of the concerned employee
** The employee issues the payment invoice of the attestation.
b. Registration of the mortgage contract :
** The investor shall register the mortgage contract in the attestations and approvals section or in the regional administrations / directorates.
** An automatic SMS/ email is sent to the investor about the number, date and time of the submitted application.
** An automatic SMS/ email is sent to the investor about the status of the application (accepted/ rejected/ pending etc).
** In case of acceptance, payment invoice is issued for the investor to pay the due fees.
** Computer papers are given to the investor after paying the fees and inserting
Required documents :
a. In Attestation of the mortgage contract :
** Three copies of the mortgage contract.
** Copies of the ID cards of the contract parties.
** Powers of attorneys of the signatories (in case of juridical persons, the decisions of board of directors, in joint** stock companies, or minutes of meetings, in other type of companies, shall be submitted.
** Presence of the contract parties
b. In Registration of the mortgage contract
** Copy of the mortgage contract after attestation
** A letter from the mortgagor or the mortgagee directed to the secretary of the commercial register to register the mortgage.
** Original computer papers.
Required Documents :
1. For Establishments :
** Copy of the applicant ID card/ passport
** A written application (if available) signed by the owner or the legal attorney.
** Consent of the mortgagee (if the establishment is mortgaged)
** Copy of certificate of membership in Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
2. For Companies :
** Minutes of partners meeting about deleting the activity (the branch).
** Original computer papers.
** Consent of the mortgagee (if the company is mortgaged)
** Copy of certificate of membership in Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
