RSTA Renew & Replacement Of Driving License
How to renew the driving license ?
Step 1 : Use the client identification number (example: CID number ) as reflected in the driving license.(Reference).

Step 2 : Select the number of renewal years which ranges from 1 year to 10 years. The license renewal charge for each year is Nu.100/- and the cost of license card is Nu.100/-(Nu. One Hundred only).
eg. for 10 years renewal, the renewal fee will be Nu.1100/- (Nu.One Thousand One Hundred only), if there is no late fee penalty. A late of Nu.10/- per day will be charged from the expiry date.
Step 3 : Select RSTA Office location,from the Regional Office and or Base office dropdown,where the application will be submitted.The application will be processed from the RSTA Office that has been selected.
Step 4 : Select the Bank from where the payment will be made and use correct account number to make payment.Use the OTP token for authentication.
Step 5 : Keep a soft copy and the printed copy of the payment acknowledgement for reference with the driving license.
Step 6 : Visit the RSTA Office where the application has been submitted along with a passport size picture to collect the renewed driving license within THREE working days from payment date.
Note : After successful payment transactions, the license renewal will be updated in the eRaLIS and RSTA officials will process the license renewal.
How to process for replacement of driving license?
Step 1 : Use the client identification number (example: CID number ) as reflected in the driving license card to process for the license replacement , for lost case.
Step 2 : Select RSTA Office location,from the Regional Office and or Base office dropdown,where the application will be submitted.The application will be processed from the RSTA Office that has been selected.
Step 3 : Select the Bank from where the payment will be made and use correct account number to make payment.Use the OTP token for authentication. The Driving License Replacement cost is Nu.200/- (Nu. Two Hundred only).
Step 4 : Keep a soft copy and the printed copy of the payment acknowledgement for reference.
Step 5 : Visit the RSTA Office where the application has been submitted to collect the duplicate driving license within THREE working days from the payment date.
Note : After successful payment transactions, the license replacement will be updated in the eRaLIS and RSTA officials will process for license replacement.
Suspension/Cancellation of driver license :
Cancellation, suspension or variation of license by the Authority may be done if the person :
a) has not presented for any test required by the Authority;
b) is dangerous to drive a motor vehicle because of some illness or incapacity or because of the treatment of any of those things;
c) has at anytime been convicted of driving offence;
d) has been convicted by the Court of Law; and
e) holding a driving license is cancelled by the Authority for a reason as deemed appropriate and is in the best interest of the road users for safety concerns.
