Apply Driving License Test :
You will need :
** your current New Zealand driver licence

** a Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card or your internet banking details (POLi) .
Tests you can book online are :
** restricted tests
** full tests
** on road safety tests (for drivers aged 75 and over – check under question 2B of the summary section on your medical certificate (if required).
Tests that can only be booked at a driver licensing agent are :
** tests for P, V or I endorsements
** overseas driver licence conversions
** learner licence tests
** re-qualifications
** reinstatement.
Cancelling or changing a test :
Another test fee is payable if you change or cancel your test appointment within two working days of the test date. (The two working day period excludes weekends, public holidays, the day of the test and the day you make the change).
Check/change your address :
** Use this transaction to check we have the correct address recorded for your vehicle and to advise us if it needs updating.
** You can also tell us if your driver licence address needs updating.
You will need :
your New Zealand driver licence (If you don’t have a NZ driver licence you can call us on 0800 108 809 or CHAT to us (Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm) and we’ll update your address for you your vehicle’s plate number(s).

Buy a road user charges (RUC) licence :
Before you start it’s always a good idea to check that we have the correct address to send your licence label to. The label is posted to the registered person’s address and should arrive within five working days.
You will need :
** the vehicle’s plate number
** a Visa or Mastercard credit/debit card or your internet banking details (POLi)
Where to go for a licence or endorsement ?
** To get or renew your driver licence or a licence endorsement you need to apply in person at an NZ Transport Agency driver licensing agent.
