Replacement of Citizenship Certificate :

Qualification :
The applicant should have been granted an original Certificate of Jamaican Citizenship.

Procedure :
A letter applying for a Certified Copy should be addressed to :
The Chief Executive Officer
Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency
25c Constant Spring Road
Kingston 10

The letter should state the Name, Address and File Reference or Certificate number of the applicant. The applicant is required to state what has happened to the original Certificate of Citizenship and why the certified copy is required.

The letter should be accompanied by the following original documents :
(i) Recent Police Report on the status of Original Certificate (should not be older than 6 months)

(ii) A Certified Passport sized photograph of applicant
(iii) Parent’s photo I.D. if applicant is a minor; Compliant applications will be processed within ten (10) working days.

Citizenship Fees :
** The Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) wishes to advise of the following fee increases for local applications as published in the Jamaica Gazette #58 dated 28th April 2015. The fees become effective on September 14, 2015. Applications already in the system will not attract the new fees.

** The citizenship fees in the four internationally traded currencies: Canadian, Sterling, Euro and United States Dollars remain the same.

** Please note that upon approval the applicant for Naturalisation is required to have the certificate endorsed at the Stamp Office at an additional cost of $JMD1000.00.

i) ATTORNEYS
ii) Persons authorized in writing by the parent of a minor who is entitled to citizenship by Descent

4. Can my application be made online?
Currently, applications are accepted at 25 Constant Spring Road or at any Jamaican High Commission, Embassy or Consulate overseas.

5. Are photocopied documents acceptable?
No, only originals are to be submitted.
