Mobile Internet Service :
There are generally three types of mobile Internet services available in the market: mobile broadband services, Wi-Fi wireless broadband services and mobile broadband and Wi-Fi packages.

The following is a brief introduction to connection settings for each of the services.
Mobile Broadband Services :
Handsets :
Your handset must be able to support GPRS or 3G network connection and you must have subscribed to the services offered by a mobile network operator. Generally speaking, after the subscription application has been confirmed, you may start using mobile broadband services.
However, some network operators or phone models may require you to make some simple settings before activating the mobile broadband services. You may ask the mobile network operator about the configurations.
Laptops :
You need to install a USB Modem before enjoying mobile broadband services unless your laptop has the built-in GPRS or 3G wireless Internet access function. Usually a USB Modem has to work with a driver.
The service provider will provide you with the software and user manual for reference. By installing the software as instructed by the manual, inserting a USB Modem and then establishing mobile broadband connection, you may start using the services.
Wi-Fi Wireless Broadband Services :
Generally, irrespective of the type of Wi-Fi device, you have to make the following settings in order to use Wi-Fi wireless broadband services :
** Activate the Wi-Fi function on the device.
** Search for a nearby Wireless Local Area Network with the device.
** Select a Wi-Fi access point in the Wireless Local Area Network.
** Enter the password as instructed or go directly to the homepage of the browser
(For free-of-charge services provided by a shopping mall, restaurant or on public transport, the homepage may be an introduction to Wi-Fi services; For charged services, users may be required to enter a password on the homepage or enter payment data before using the services.)
** Start using Wi-Fi wireless broadband services.
Mobile Broadband and Wi-Fi Packages :
Just like using mobile broadband services, you can get your device connected to the Internet. The difference between such packages and mobile broadband services is that the Internet connection device will automatically switch its communication mode according to signal reception.
For example, if Wi-Fi reception signal is too weak, the Internet connection device will automatically select the connection mode with a stronger signal, for example, GPRS or 3G to ensure continuous Internet connection.
