Who may Enter:
The 1st Tanay Photography Contest is exclusive only for Tanay residents presently residing in Tanay, Rizal, Open for non-pro “Enthusiast/hobbyist” only. Participants less than 18 year’s age need to have a consent letter from their Parents/Guardian permitting them to join the competition.
What to Enter:
** Entries also must be accompanied by a photo caption or words describing the photo’s content and story behind the photo. To be eligible for this contest, a photograph must have been shot by the entrant since January 1, 2014.
** Cropped photos are eligible. Minor adjustments, including spotting, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are acceptable. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to move the photo to Altered Images or to disqualify it.
** For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model letter of consent from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian and provide it to the Organizing Committee upon request.
** Entrants whose photos depict other people’s work (such as sculptures, statues, paintings, and other copyrightable works) may be need to obtain a release from the rights holder and provide it to the Organizing Committee upon request.
** When photographing the work of others, it must be as an object in its environment and not a full-frame close-up of another person’s creation.
** Photographs that have won any other contests are not eligible to join the competition. We define “winning” as having won a grand prize or 1st, 2nd or 3rd place overall. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.
** Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the Organizing Committee in its sole discretion, are ineligible for this contest.
How to enter:
** Please submit your high-resolution photograph of at least 300 dpi (for 8×12/12×8 inch. size)and photo description in .doc or .docx format save on CD/DVD or in USB/FLASHDISK (Additional Valid Government ID may require if the contestant is put in question about His/Her residency)
** High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible (Include). Photographs must be in a .jpeg, .jpg or .gif format. Files submitted may not be larger than 10 MB or less than 1MB.
** Entries can be submitted via email to TanayPhotoContest@gmail.com or personally to IMS Office, 2nd Floor, Tanay Municipal Building, Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM (maximum of 3 entries per participants)

** Finalist will be invited to attend the grand awarding night @ Tanay Municipal Grounds where the Winning photographs will be announced on November 12, 2015
** The 3 finalists will be notified of their status and will appear on our website in 1 weeks before the awarding.
** The Organizing Committee will notify the finalists via the contact information provided at the time of entry; the Organizing Committee may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to the notification within five business days.
** Please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.

Grand Prize: Php 5,000.00
1st Prize: Php 3,000.00
2nd Prize: Php 1,000.00
Conditions of Entry:
** The Committee reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries and/or contestants who are unable to submit upon request.
** The Committee may collect a photograph’s metadata upon entry.
You retain your rights to your photograph. By entering, you represent that:
(i) your entry is your own original work; and (ii) you own or have the rights to convey any and all right and title in any material submitted as part of your entry into the Contest; however, by entering the contest, you grant the Municipal Government of Tanay a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty- free license to edit, publish, promote, republish at any time in the future and otherwise use your submission, along with your name and likeness, in any and all media for any purpose, without further permission, notice or compensation (except where prohibited by law).
The Committee reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, the Committee reserves the right to award or not award the prizes in its sole discretion.
The Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to:
Inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of the Committee are final and binding.
The Municipal Government of Tanay is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures, or other errors or problems which may occur in connection with the Contest, whether computer, network, technical, mechanical, typographical, printing, human or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of entries, the announcement of the prizes, in any Contest- related materials, or that may limit prize fulfillment or a participant’s ability to enter the Contest. Sponsor reserve the right to amend these official rules and to permanently disqualify from the Contest any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules.
