1. Apply SingPass / Forget SingPass

You can apply for a SingPass by : (Receive via Mail) :
a) Using this online request service (The SingPass will be mailed to you within 4 working days for local addresses), or
b) Proceeding to nearest SingPass counter location (immediate issuance of SingPass)

Minimum age requirement is 15 years old to get SingPass

The following groups are eligible to apply for SingPass;
** Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident
** Employment Pass and Personalised Employment Pass holders
** EntrePass holders
** S-Pass holders
** Dependant Pass holders (of EP, PEP, EntrePass and S-Pass holders)
** Selected Work Permit Holders*
Please note that work pass holders who are eligible to apply for SingPass can only do so on the following Monday after their work pass has been issued.

If you are resetting your SingPass using this online request service, your new SingPass will be mailed to you within 4 working days for local addresses.

NOTE: Your new SingPass will be posted to your address registered with the Government.
This e-Service will take about 3 minutes to complete.

Q1. What is SingPass?
** SingPass stands for “Singapore Personal Access”.
** It is an alphanumeric password of between 8 to 24 characters. Special characters, excluding space, are acceptable – e.g. hgu%7$
** It is your common password to transact with various Government online services.

Q2. What is my SingPass ID?
For Singapore Citizens & Permanent Residents, your SingPass Id is your NRIC number (e.g. S1234567X) or CPFB unique account number (e.g. SA123456Z).
For Personalised Employment/Employment/Dependant/S-Pass & Work Permit holders, your SingPass ID will be your Foreign Identification Number (FIN) e.g. F1234567X or G1234567Z.

Q3. How is CPFB unique account different from other types of SingPass ID (such NRIC or FIN)?
CPFB unique account is issued to a specific group of CPFB members and it can be used as SingPass ID for accessing CPFB e-services only. It cannot be used to access non-CPFB e-services. If a CPFB member who is issued with CPFB unique account wishes to access non-CPFB e-services, the member has to use either NRIC or FIN as the SingPass ID.

Using your SingPass, you can access the e-services offered by the following:
** Central Provident Fund Board
**Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority
** Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore
** GeBIZ
And many other online services available at the eCitizen online portal.

Q5. Who can get SingPass?
The following groups of users are eligible to apply for SingPass:

Q6. Who are the eligible valid Work Permit holders?
Work Permit holders may check their eligibility for SingPass via WP Online for Status Check at MOM website

The group of Work Permit Holders who are eligible to request for issuance of SingPass is based on the need for the work permit holder to perform online eService transactions which needs SingPass authentication (e.g. work permit holders who are in the administrative and clerical occupation).
