Vehicle Inspection :

Objectives :
To ensure operation of the inspection for private vehicles 7 years above at the Vehicle Inspection Centre (VIC), the Land Transport Department (LTD), Beribi, Jalan Gadong, are conducted in a systematic and orderly manner and for the comfort of the public.

Inspection Lane :
Lane 4 dan 5 at Vehicle Inspection Centre (VIC), Land Transport Department (LTD), Beribi, Jalan Gadong

Booking Either :
1. Contact : 2448008 atau 2448009, OR
2. Go DIRECTLY to Counter 2, booth of Inspection Lane 6 and 7 Vehicle Inspection Centre (VIC), LTD, Beribi, Jalan Gadong

Booking Time : 8.00AM – 12.00PM and 1.45 – 4.15PM
Working Days : Monday Until Thursday And Saturday (Except Public Holidays)

** Details of the owner and vehicle to be inspected will be recorded by the LTD in the timetable provided and then listed for inspection on the date and time booked.

** Owner / Driver of the vehicle to be inspected is advised to come 15 MINUTES earlier before the booking time for inspection.​
** Vehicle Inspection on : Visual, Chassis, Brake Light, Engine No., Signal Light, Break Pad, Tyres, Glass, Body Work (External and Internal) and others.

Vehicle Licence :
** All registered vehicles must have a valid Vehicle Licence (Road Tax) before it can be used legally on a public road.

Driving Without A Valid Vehicle Licence :
** Driving without a valid vehicle licence is an offence under Section 8(1) Road Traffic Act Chapter 68 and if found guilty, the driver will be subject to a fine of Four Thousand Brunei Dollars (B$4000.), imprisonment for 3 (three) months.
** In addition, the driver will also receive 6 demerit points for the offence.

Motorcycles and Private Cars

 

$2.25

 

7 years of age and above – renewal every year

Taxi $4.50 After first year of registration – renewal every 6 months
Commercial $4.50 After first year of registration – renewal every 6 months

(except for company registered cars, inspection is done annually once reaching 7 years of age and above)

Motor Omnibus $6.00 After first year registration – renewal every 6 months
Trailers $10.00 After first year registration – renewal every 6 months
Dealer’s General Licence $100.00 Every year

** Odd cents shall be counted as $1.00 in calculating fees.
