Authentication of Seafarer Certificate :
Please enter the following details,
1. *Seafarer’s Id No.

*Required Fields. Note : Seafarer ID No. is shown on the top left hand corner of the Certificate.
How to Search for a Certificate :
** It is mandatory to enter the Seafarer’s Identification Number (shown on the top left hand corner of the certificate) and the Certificate Number.
** Enter your search criteria and click Search.
** The system will either retrieve the certificate details or display an error message if no certificate is found.
** Click Reset to make a new search.
How to View and Print Certificate Details :
** The system will display a summary of the certificate details relating to your search.
** Click on the Certificate Number to retrieve the full details.
** Click the print pdf print icon to print the certificate and the save pdf save icon to save a copy of the file.
** The system will display a list of any other certificates issued to the seafarer. How to sort the data from the list retrieved.
** To view the full details of a certificate click on the Certificate Number of the certificate you require.
** Click the print pdf print icon to print the certificate and the save pdf save icon to save a copy of the file.
** Click Reset to make a new search.
About Us :
The Department of Merchant Shipping (DMS) was established and started functioning as a distinct entity in the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, in 1977. The service existed, however since 1963 and functioned under the Department of Ports.
The headquarters were situated in Famagusta, which was also the port of registration of Cyprus ships. Following the Turkish invasion in Cyprus in 1974 and the subsequent occupation of Famagusta by the Turks, Limassol replaced Famagusta as the port of registration of Cyprus ships.
At the same time the port of Famagusta, as well as other smaller ports in the occupied area of Cyprus, were declared closed to International maritime traffic.
