Student Visa Process :

Students/ visitors can get to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) by air or sea travel. All flights to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are connected through Turkey.

This means even the final destination is TRNC all flights first stop at Turkey. There are regular flights from the major cities in Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya) to TRNC that only take between 75 to 45 minutes journey time.

Ercan International Airport is a 30 minute drive to campus. It is also possible to reach Gazimagusa or Girne (in TRNC) via ferries from Mersin and Antalya Harbours (in Turkey).

Visa applications should be done either to TRNC Representative Office or to Turkish Embassy / Consulate in your country. The tuition fee stated on the acceptance letter has to be paid first before applying for the visa.

A copy of the payment bank decont should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office for a confirmation of your acceptance to be sent to the Turkish / TRNC Embassy in your country.

Residence permit for the first time necessary documents :
** Student Certificate
** Immigration Fees : For 1 Year 107.50 TL
** Original Health Reports : For Newly Registered Students (blood tests and Lung X-Ray) 135 TL

** Original Passport and photocopy of the relevant pages. (First Page (with photo), the page that show expiring date, information page)
** Brand Stamp valued 11.20 TL

** 1 Passport size photograph
** Dormitory record sheet (which is living in dormitory)

If your health reports are incomplete or you do not have any, then the local governor will send you to the state hospital for medical tests. It may take 5-6 days to get the results. For Turkish Students who come from Turkey, medical reports need to be taken Turkish state hospital.

Residence Permit Renewal Procedures :
Apart from health report and photograph, all other documents should be submitted to Students Services Office in person for the renewal. If all the required documents are ready, the residence permit can be immediately.

Student Services Office aims to solve the problems students may encounter during the academic year with the help of its highly skilled staff.

In this regard, the office offers the following services :

** Student Services Office has expanded the operations of the Student Information Center so that all students can benefit from more frequently.

** As a modern information center, the Student Information Center not only helps students receive all kinds of university-related information in an efficient manner but also aims to raise students’ participation in social and cultural activities.

** Students can receive information about events taking place within the university as well as the social and cultural activities organised by Famagusta Municipality from the Student Information Center. Students can visit the Student Information Center or call the Call Center to obtain more detailed information regarding these events.
