The service takes convenience to the next level, as you can perform real time transactions using your mobile phone. With the mobile and tablet banking app, you will be able to :
** View your account balances

** View your Barclays statements and recent transactions
** Transfer funds between Barclays accounts
** Request Cheque book
** Locate the nearest Barclays Branch or ATM

To download the app :
** Visit the App Store on your Apple device or Google Play on your Android device
** Search for “Barclays Uganda”

** Click on the icon to start download
** Login requires your existing Barclays Internet Banking information, which you will receive once your register for online banking.

Choose how to receive your statements :
You can easily switch to paperless statements in online Banking or receive eStatements using your email address

Switch to online banking :
It’s easy to switch to paperless statements in Online Banking.
** Log onto Online Banking
** Select the account number
** Select account activity/estatement
** Select required transaction period and search

Switch to estatements :
Want to save time, money and the environment? eStatements are the perfect solution. estatements are electronic statements that can be delivered directly to your e-mailing box within hours of being generated.

They are much easier to manage and save because they can be printed or saved on your computer.  estatements are not only more secure than paper statements.

Since they are password protected – they are also a great way of reducing the clutter created by paper statements and better for the environment because they save paper.

To sign up for estatements :
** Please call us on 0800222333 or +256312218348.
** Send your email address to barclays.uganda [AT] barclays.com

** Send an SMS indicating your email address to 7197 in the format ‘BBU leave space your email address’ e.g. BBU peter.mukasa [AT] ac.com to 7197.

Bank to Wallet :
Move money from your Barclays bank account into your Airtel Money Account or MTN Mobile money Account.

How it works :
To use Internet Banking or the Mobile Banking App, follow the steps below :
** Log into Internet Banking
** Select Pay My Utility bill
** Select Payee as New Payee
** Select Biller type as Mobile Wallet
** Select Biller as “Funds transfer to Airtel Money” or ‘’Funds transfer to MTN Mobile Money”.
** For Airtel, there is an option to send to Own telephone Number or other number.
** For MTN, there is only one option, to send to your own number

** If you select own number, the money will be sent to the mobile number you have registered with the bank. If you choose other number, you will be asked to enter the mobile number where the money will be sent.

** Click next and select account to be debited and enter amount you wish to send, Click next and confirm

** An OTP will be sent to your mobile phone.
** Enter OTP and confirm.
** Confirmation SMS will be sent to your mobile phone upon completion of the transaction.

To use Hello Money, follow the steps below :
** Dial *233#
** Enter PIN.
** Select option 7-M Wallet

** Select Airtel Money or MTN Mobile Money.
** For MTN, the money will be sent to the mobile number registered with the bank.
** For Airtel, you can choose if you want to send money to your own mobile number or other mobile number

** If you choose other mobile number, you will be asked to enter the mobile number you wish to send to.
** Enter amount and confirm transaction.
** Confirmation SMS will be sent to your mobile phone.

Wallet to Bank (W2B) :
Dial *185? for Airtel or *165? for MTN on your mobile handset
** Go to Financial services
** Under financial services, click 2 (Send money to bank account)

** A message will pop up on the list of financial institutions to send money to. Click next till you get to Barclays bank.
** Select Bank account (Accounts linked to the mobile number on Hello Money will be displayed)

** Select amount to send
** Message will pop up on the amount to transfer and the account number transferring and fee/charge (if any)
** You will be asked to enter a PIN at this point.

** A pop up of transaction being processed will be seen.
** You will receive a message from the mobile network on the amount that has been sent
** You will receive a message from Barclays bank on the amount received on the account
