Extension, Renewal of Permit :

Complete the following fields in order to get the already existing permit to extend. If the permit is not in the system, you can start a new fresh extension application by clicking in the “Create New Extension” button.

Replacement of permits :
Complete the following fields in order to get the already existing permit to replace
1. Permit ID to be replaced
2. Permit number used for the application to be Replaced
3. Date of birth of permit holder

Entry Permit :
General info about this visa or permit. This permit allows the applicant to live and work in Uganda. This permit is always sponsored by an organization or company which must have a mandatory organization code.

Process :
** Once the application is submitted it will be studied by an Immigration Officer. Please note that during the approval process additional information may be required. The new required information can be submitted electronically through “Manage your applications”

** The decision taken on the application will be sent electronically through the email provided by the applicant.
** If approved, an approval letter will be sent as an attachment to the email provided. Click on the link to download it.

** A travel letter is not permission to enter Uganda therefore, applicants outside Uganda (visa prone countries) will be required to apply for a visa to enable them enter Uganda.

** Present a valid travel document of not less than 6 months validity to the Immigration officer at the port of entry.

Class A – Diplomatic service :

Class D – Business and trade :
6 months – 800 USD

** Recommendation letter from LCs or RDC’s office from the area where the business is to be undertaken
** Work plan/feasibility study of the project to be undertaken
** Copy of nonrefundable pre-payment receipt of $800 or a copy of ID from Nationals of Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi
** Copy Security bond

12 months :
** Photocopy of the passport (bio-data page)
** Recent passport size photo
** Police clearance from Interpol or home country
** Covering letter
** Copy of non-refundable payment receipt of $ 1500
** Copy of Land title
** Recommendation from LCs or RDCs office
** Work plan/ Feasibility study of the project to be undertaken
** Security bond

24 months :

** Clearance letter from Interpol or home country
** Covering letter from organization
